Music and 3D Printing in Harmony

At Incept 3D, we love helping creators turn their ideas into reality — especially when they come from a place of passion. One of our favorite recent projects was the Sax Stack, a 3D-printed storage and display system designed by Jeff Bowers, founder of Sax Stack and lifelong saxophone enthusiast.

As a musician, Jeff wanted a cleaner, more organized way to store his mouthpieces, reeds, and necks — and even help them dry between uses. His thought was simple but brilliant: my sax has a stand, so why not a stand for everything else? That idea became the Sax Stack.

From Concept to Creation

When Jeff came to Incept 3D, he was looking for a local partner in San Diego who could collaborate closely and bring his vision to life. Our team worked with him to prototype, refine, and produce the final version of the Sax Stack — ensuring both form and function were dialed in.

“They were amazing — professional, motivated, and always on top of my ambitious timelines,” Jeff said. “When I saw the finished Sax Stack, I was thrilled — and I’m a tough critic.”

A 3D Printed Solution That Plays in Tune

The final Sax Stack not only stores saxophone parts beautifully, but it also allows them to dry efficiently between sessions. Whether Jeff uses it for daily organization or long-term storage, the design strikes a perfect balance between practicality and elegance — all made possible through 3D printing.
