PA12-GB

Glass-bead Nylon 12
Stiff parts · Dimensional stability

PA12 with glass beads — stiffer and more dimensionally stable, same MJF process. The trade is toughness: it gives up tensile strength and flex to get there.

Strengths
& uses

For parts that need more stiffness or warp resistance than standard PA12.

Strengths
  • Tensile modulus 2800–2900 MPa — over 60 % stiffer than PA12
  • Heat deflection 121 °C at 1.82 MPa — well above PA12's 95–106
  • Less warp — holds dimension across large, flat geometry
  • Weaker and more brittle than PA12 — stiff, not strong, by design
Common applications
  • Housings that must not warp
  • Tooling and fixtures
  • Precision jigs and gauges
  • Dimensionally critical parts
