CT Scan to 3D Print
We offer the unique ability to 3D print models from CT scans. 3D printed anatomical models can be invaluable for medical students, doctors, and personal injury lawyers.
DICOM format accepted
The imaging department at a medical center will provide a DICOM dataset. We can covert this to a 3D file.
Typical applications:
Educational models
Surgical review
Personal injury cases
Case Study
For this project, we worked with Joe Mullins, a forensic imaging specialist for the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, to recreate a skull from a cold case dating back to 1995. After converting the scans to a 3D printable format, we produced the skull and mandible. From there, Mullins was able to recreate the rest of the details using his forensic and technical skills.
